Created by and starring Andrea Savage (Veep), I’m Sorry is a half-hour comedy that follows the life of Andrea, a “comedy person,” mother, and wife to husband Mike (Tom Everett Scott).

We are introduced to Andrea’s life and the typical awkward encounters and unfortunate circumstances she finds herself in. In the first episode this consists of Andrea coming to blows at a senior dance class, as well as coming to the defence of an ex-porn star at a child’s birthday party. At this stage Andrea’s main issue appears to be keeping up with the responsibilities of motherhood while trying to stifle her instinct for the immature.

Andrea Savage in I'm Sorry

Jason Mantzoukas and Judy Greer are among other familiar faces to appear in the first episode as Andrea and Mike’s friends, and everyone looks great so far.

There was something about the style of I’m sorry that reminded me more of the new string of comedy movies such as Rough Night and The House than another TV show. It was very vulgar but pleasantly funny, if a little predictable, and for a premiere episode it was a pretty good introduction to the series.

I have a good feeling about I’m Sorry, and I will be keeping my eye on this show. For updates watch this space!
